In order to cultivate local students’ interest in science and provide interesting learning experiences, Chow Sang Sang Precious Metals Laboratory is committed to cooperating with different schools and institutions to provide a series of on-campus STEAM workshops. Since its launch, the response has been enthusiastic and widely welcomed by teachers and students. The new round of workshops is now open for registration, and quota are limited on a first-come, first-served basis.
Details of the workshop are as follows:
Time : 1.5 hours per session
Location : School laboratory /Activity Room
Target Audience : Secondary 1 to Secondary 6 students
Workshop fee : $180 / student (minimum 20 students, less than 20 will be counted as 20 students)
Remarks : Participants will be issued a certificate of attendance upon completion of the workshop.
Themes of workshop:

Gold Panning
Students can experience gold panning in the school environment, imitating the ancient method of extracting gold from sand and gravel.

The Alchemist
Students will conduct electroplating experiments and make their unique gold-plated creative accessories.

The Aglactic Repairman
The instructor will explain the chemical changes that silver jewelry will encounter in our daily life.

The Descendant of the Solar Energy
Participants will make solar cells that simulate photosynthesis, learn about renewable energy and practice low-carbon living.

The Silver Salt Photographer
Students will make their own traditional silver salt photo paper, expose it under ultraviolet light, followed by fixing, rinsing and drying to complete the black and white photo.

The Eco 3D Artisan
Students will use 3D printing pen and eco-friendly materials to create unique artwork.
